EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT

Mayor Mary Casler
CITY OF CARLSBAD
1200 Elm Avenue
Carlsbad, CA 92008
Dear Mary:
The Executive Committee has authorized expending $1,000
this year to help support the City's purchase program of
benches for the Village area.
We are attempting to establish a program whereby a portion
of any surplus proceeds from our Village Faires can be
returned to the enhancement of the Village area (e.g. the
bench program, christ:mas decorations, etc.) I'll work
with Chris Salomone of the Redevelopment Agency to work
out details.
The support of the City and the Village Merchants has al-
lowed the Faires to grow in a positive manner and I'm
hopeful we'll be able to carryout an ongoing program to
enhance our central core.
Sincerely, L Douglas A. Yavanian - Executive Vice President
