CODE, 1984 EDITION RECOMMENDED ACTION: Introduce Ordinance No. y,lo3 adopting the Uniform Building Co 1982 Edition, and Introduce Ordinance No. r[a:- adopting the National Electrical Code, 1984) Edition, and set a Public Hearing for both ordinance for 6:OO PM, Tuesday, May 7, 1985. ITEM EXPLANATION: Staff is proposing adoption of the Uniform Building Code, 1982 Edition, and the National Electrical Code, 1984 Edition, to replace the similar codes now in effect. This will bring the City regulations into conformity with the State. We have added a new occupancy, Group H, Division 6, to the Uniform Building Code and to all sections pertaining to this occupancy. Group H, Division 6, provides protection for fabrication ,5acil-ities- of the electronics industry. No fee increases have been requested. F I SCAL IMPACT : None. EXHIBITS : I 1.
