Award of Contract, Bid Package No. 3
Dear Mike:
Approval to solicit bids for the referenced work was given by the City Council
on April 2, 1985. Work includes Elevators, Plumbing, Fire Sprinklers, HVAC,
Electrical, Service Station Equipment, Vehicle Wash and Finish Hardware.
Numerous firms specializing in these activities were contracted by your
Construction Manager with a pre-bid conference being held on April 23, 1985,
and bids received on May 2, 1985-
We have analyzed the low bids and finding no major irregularities recommend
that an award for the following bid package items be made to:
Description Contractor Amount k£L£Z-~
3A Elevators Reliable Elevator Corp. $59,821 70.000
3C Fire Sprinklers Orvin Engineering Corp. ^9,352 73^''
3G Vehicle Wash N/S Corporation 57,200 io,o<*>
3H Finish Hardware Construction Hardware Co. 63,236 £«,«>•->
We feel these awards represent a fair and reasonable price for the work
intended.
We understand that an agenda bill will be prepared for City Council approval
of these awards on May !*», 1985- Please let me know if additional information
is required or if there are any problems with this recommendation.
The remaining items within bid package No. 3 are being evaluated with the
Architect, Consultants and Contractors prior to award recommendations.
Respectfully,
KOLL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY
