Adopt Resolution No. #/,&I approving Change Order Number 1 adding 634,450 sq. ft. of 2" overlay to eight areas in the City for $236,003. ITEM EXPLANATION: On May 21, 1985, the City Council approved the bids and awarded the contract for the 1985 Slurry Seal and Overlay Program for $732,239.50. to the Street Repair account had not been fully determined and it was not feasible to determine the amount of additional work that could be accomplished. Available funds indicate that 634,450 sq. ft. of needed overlay in eight areas can be done. At that time, expenditures FISCAL IMPACT: Funds to do the additional work are contained in the Street Repair account number 001-840-5110-2410, in the amount of $263,050. EXHIBITS : 1. U/M-6 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has previously approved the contract for the 1985 Slurry Seal and Overlay ?rogram; and, WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds in the street repair account to do 3dditional work. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad Zalifornia, as follows: 1. The above recitations are true and correct. 2. The change order in the amount of $263,003 is approved.
