NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR CARLSBAD
BOULEVARD STORM DRAIN FROM TAMARACK TITLE:
AVENUE TO AGUA HEDIONDA LAGOON -
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Accept the construction of the Carlsbad Boulevard Storm Drain
Project No. 3169 as complete. Direct the City Clerk to have
the Notice of Completion recorded.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The purpose of this storm drain - which flows from Tamarack
Avenue to Agua Hedionda Lagoon - is to intercept bluff drain-
age and take it to the lagoon. This will reduce future bluff
erosion.
On April 16, 1985, the construction of the Carlsbad Boulevard
Storm Drain was completed on schedule.
A second project was included in the budget to construct a
storm drain from Cannon Road to Agua Hedionda Lagoon. This
storm drain will be designed shortly so that it may be
included in the Carlsbad widening project which will be
constructed at a later date.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds in the amount of $380,000.00 were budgeted for these two
projects in Account No. 330-1830-3167. The total contract for
the completed section was $135,116.89 including one change
order of $4,017.19 handled administratively. The balance of
the funds will be used for the second project from Cannon Road
to Agua Hedionda Lagoon.

YOU WILL PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on April 16, 1985, the
Engineering project consisting of Carlsbad Boulevard Storm
Drain - Project No. 3169 on which Thibido Construction Co. was
the Contractor, and Industrial Indemnity Co. was the surety,
was completed.
