In order to expedite the business session of the annual league conference
Francisco, October 6 - 8, 1985, the League of California Cities has reque:
that each City Council designate a voting representative and an alternate
general business session will be conducted on Tuesday, October 8, 1985.
The City's voting delegate will be able to pick up the City's voting card
League Registration Desk at the conference.

RE: DESIGNATION OF VOTING DELEGATE FOR LEAGUE ANNUAL CONFERENCE
Dear City Official:
The most important aspect of the Annual Conference is the General Business Ses
which time the membership takes action on conference resolutions. It is esi
important during these times of uncertainty. for California cities to take the inj
in developing positive proyrams for the future. Annual Conference resolutions wi]

To expedite this important policy-making meetingr each City Council should desi
voting representative and an alternate who will be present at the Business Sessio
League Constitution provides that each city is entitled to one vote in matters af
municipal or League policy. A voting card will be given to the city official des
by the City Council on the enclosed "voting delegate form."
If the Mayor or a member of the City Council is in attendance at the Conference
expected that one of these officials will be designated as the voting delegate. €
if the City Council will not have a registered delegate at the Conference but
represented by other city officials, one of these officials should be designa
voting delegate or alternate.
Please forward the enclosed Voting delegate form" to the Sacramento office of the
