I --;Jr -....,---- 3.3.2.4 &JPERVISOR'S CONSOLE It is anticipated that this console will be three bays wide and four 5-1/4-inch panel spaces high. The equipping and set-up of this console will be identical to the Police Console shown in Figure e. The panel space layout will be the same as the Police console, and the T/R module sequence will be the same.as the Police console. 3.3.2.5 CALL RECEIP? OPERATORS' CONS<LES A four-bay two-position console will be provided for two call receipt operators. Each position will consist of two bays wide and three 5-1/.-inch high panels. The panel layout is shown in Figure 10. Panels land 7 will be reserved for instant recall recorder controls. Panels 2 and 3 and Panels 7 and 8 will contain a telephone panel. A 26-button instrument is to be provided. Panels 4 and 10 wil~ contain a letter tray for call cards or other materials. Panels 5 anJ ,6 and Panels 11 and 12 will be reserved for a CAD CR1. Initially, these will be furnished with a blank filler panel. A mounting bezel shall be furnished to accommodate the CAD CRT when the type has been selected. The counter-writing surface may require a cut-out for the keyboard for the CAO system. It.is not possible to specify the geometry of that until the CAD system has been finalized and ordered. RG 259/3 Page 3-12 04 t • 4.6 MONI'?OR RECEIVER SPECIFICATIONS 4.6.1 GENERAL The intent of this specification is to define a monitor receiv1!r that is rugged and dependable. The receivers are to be used to monitor selected frequencies used by other ag~ncies. 'l'hin specification covers receivers that operate in the followin~1 frequency bands: 30-50 MHz, 150-170 MHz, and 450-470 MHz. The desired operating frequen~y band and the exact operating frequency will be specified at the time of order. The audio output of each receiver is to be routed to receive- only modules in specified consoles. 4.6.2 PHYSICAL DESCRIPl'ION HOUSING -The receiver enclosure shall be of contemporary design and may be constructed of either high impact plastic or sheet metal. The receiver shall be provided with a mounting panel to allow the unit to be mounted in a standard 19-inch EIA relay rack. CONTROLS -Volume and squelch controls shall be accessible from the front panel. AN'TENNA INPUT -The antenna input connector shall be located on the rear panel of the unit. 4.6.3 'l'ECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS GENERAL -The receiver shall be completely solid-state, crystal-controlled, and shall be equipped to operate in the carrier squelch mode. TEMPERATURE RANGE -?he receiv~r shall operate over an ambient temperature range of minus 30 degrees to plus 60 degrees Centigrade. RG 259/ 4 Page 4-31
