RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. &2&& accepting a bequest of funds from the estate Eleanor M. Blayney to purchase books and related materials for the North San Diego County Genealogical Society to be available in the Carlsbad Cii Library.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The Carlsbad City Library has received a bequest from the estate of Eleai F4. Blayney in the amount of $25,000.00 to be used to purchase books and related materials for the North San Diego County Genealogical Society. '
funds have been deposited to an appropriate City account and shall be ut pursuant to the general wishes of the decedent.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUKCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A BEQUEST OF FUNDS FOR THE CARLSBAD CITY L16RARY.
WHEREAS, the Estate of Eleanor M. Blayney has bequested $25,000.00 f
che purpose of purchasing books and related materials for the Genealogy
Section of the Carlsbad City Library; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept this gift pursuant to
Section 37354 and 37355 of the California Government Code;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
L. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council acce.pts the bequest of the funds to purch
the books and materials on behalf of all citizens of the City of Carlsba
PASSED, APPROVED AidD ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad C
Council held on the -- 1st day of October , 1985, by the
