RECOMMENDED ACTION:

Adopt Resolution No. accepting bids and awarding Contract
No. 3704 for the construction of the Depot Parking Lot to the low
bidder Lindo Engineering Company, for $20,725.09.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On June 18, 1985, Council authorized the advertisement for bids
for said project. Five sealed bids were received on August 8,
1985, as follows:

RESOLUTION NO. 8211
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING BIDS AND
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CONTRACT NO.
3704 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF DEPOT PARKING LOT.
WHEREAS, bids have been received by the City of Carlsbad
for construction of Depot Parking Lot, Contract No. 3704; and
WHEREAS, the low bid received for the construction of
Depot Parking Lot was submitted by Lindo Engineering Company,
in the amount OF $20,725.09; and
WHEREAS, Funds are available in Account No. 115-840-
1890-3704 for this project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council OF
the City of Carlsbed, California, as follows:
1. ' That the above recitations are true and correct. . :
2. The bid of $20,725.09 by Lindo Engineering
Compenyfor Contract No. 3704 for construction of Depot Parking
Lot is hereby accepted, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute a contract thereafter.
PASSED, APPROVED AND &OPTED et a regular meeting of the
Carlsbad City Council held on the 15th day of Cctc&r I

Avenue, if and when Santa Fe's existing lease agreement covering this property
is terminated. This is in connection with the current Lessee's pending relocation of their business operation to nearby Santa Fe property.
