ITEM EXPLANATION:
Dyna Industries Inc., 6200 Yarrow Drive, Carlsbad, wishes to donate two motc to the police department. The motorcycles are 1979 models which have never used. The motorcycles can be used as future replacements for our off-road I or may be used as trade-in to purchase an additional three-wheel vehicle fo beach enforcement function.

On 23 August, 1985, myself, Capt. Kellogg and Sgt. Shipley met with Russ Kaler of Dyna Industries Inc., Drive, Carlsbad. (438-2511 ext 285)
Kaler expressed thie desire of the Company to donate to the Pol ice Department two 1979 Kawasaki motorcycles. motorcycles were purchased by the Company new and have never been out of the packing crates. completely servi ced and 1 i censes are current. the motorcycles could be used by the Department or traded for other equipment as we see fit.
I recommend we accept the donation of the two motorcycles descri bed as :

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION OF TWO KAWASAKI MOTORCYCLES
WHEREAS, Dyna Industries Inc. donated two Kawasaki motorcycle!
the Carlsbad Police Department for any use the department deems apprc
and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept this gift;
NOW, THEREFORE, 13E IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the City Council accept the donation of two 1979 Kawa
motorcycles on behalf of the citizens of the City of Carls’
PASSED, APPROVECi AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
of the City of Carlsbad held on the 15th day of OctDber 9 19
by the following vote to wit:
