RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Direct staff to negotiate lease to house the Building, Engineerir
and Planning Departments and return for Council approval.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
At its 10/15/85 meeting, the City Council directed staff to
solicit proposals for space to house the Building, Engineering
and Planning Departments.

four buildings appear to offer the desired specifications

Various rents have been proposed and range from 53C to 87C
per sq. ft. net. Tenant improvement allowances of $10 to $15
per sq. ft. have also been offered.
Preliminary office space designs are being reviewed with
interior designers to determine possible layouts of ocficc
