RECOMMENDED ACTION:
By motion Adopt Resolution No. 82.72 approving plans and
specifications, for Project No. 3187, authorizing the City Clerk
to advertise for bids for the construction of the traffic signal
at Kelly Drive and El Carnino Real.
ITEM EXPLAN.ATION:
The plans and specifications have been completed. This project
involves the construction of a new traffic signal at the
intersection of El Camino Real and Kelly Drive. The Engineering
Department has reviewed and approved the plans and
specifications.
FISCAL IMPACT
The Engineer's estimate for this project is $50,000.00. Funds in
the amount of $90,000.00 have been budgeted for this project, and
are available in the Account No. 320-820-18-40-3187.

RESOLUTION NO. 8272
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK
TO INVITE BIDS, FOR PROJECT NO. 31-67.,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has
determined it is necessary and in the public interest to
construct Kelly Drive and El Camino Real traffic signal; and
WHEREAS, plans and specifications for the furnishing
of all labor, material, tools, equipment, transportation, and
other expenses necessary or incidental for said Project No.
3187, have been prepared and are on file in the Engineering
Department of the City of Carlsbad and are incorporaated by
reference herein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. The plans and specifications as presented are
hereby approved.
3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby
authorized and directed to proceed to publish, in accordance
with law, Notice to Contractors inviting bids for the
construction of the El Camino Real and Kelly Drive traffic
signal in accordance with the plans and specifications
hereinabove referred to.
