RECOMMENDED ACTION:
By motion adopt Resolution No. 8;79?- approving plans a
specifications authorizing the City Clerk to advertise for bi
for site improvements and community center of Stagecoa
Community Park. (Project Nos. 3191 and 3197).
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The 28 acre Stagecoach Community Park will feature active a
passive recreational uses such as baseball/softball, SOCC~
basketball, tennis, picnicking, tot lot, nature studies, as we
as providing a community center/gymnasium.
The grading and drainage improvements (Phase I) have be
completed in accordance with plans, specifications and ti
schedule.
Plans and specifications for (Phase 11) Site Improvements and t
Community Center are now complete. Site improvements wi
include landscaping, lighted althetic fields, miscellaneo
buildings and parking lots. Miscellaneous structures wi
include a concession stand and a secured protective area for t
Butterfield Stage Line Ruins for which the park is name
November, 1986.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Phase I budgeted development costs are $845,000. The architect
estimate for the completion of Phase I1 is $2,4.00,000. Fun
are included in the 85-86 Capital Improvement Program in t
amount of $3,045,000 for Phase I and Phase 11.
First Year Maintenance Costs:
Completion of the entire park facilities are scheduled f

Custodian services 33,OO
Park Maintenance 135,OO
Estimated total first year operation estimate $328,00
Note: Succeeding yearly maintenance will be approximately 3
less than the first year costs.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS: AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO
INVITE BIDS FOR SITE IMPROVEMENTS AND COMMUNITY
CENTER - IN STAGECOACH PARK PROJE-CT NOS. 3191 and 3197
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad ha

determined it is necessary and in the public interest to
construct the Stagecoach Community Park and;
8 WHEREAS, plans and specifications for the furnishing
9 of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, an
