By motion adopt Resolution No. P34/.5— Certifying Final EIR 84-2
(based on the findings contained-Ti`erein) and finding that the
proposed project is in conformance with the City's General Plan.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Council approved Resolution No. 7723 (on 8/21/84) authorizing
preliminary engineering and the preparation of an environmental
impact report on this project. Land Use Planning staff
determined that an environmental impact report was required under
the California Environmental Quality Act, and the state
guidelines implementing said Act.
The attached Resolution fulfills the final requirements of the
California Environmental Quality Act, the State Guidelines
implementing said Act, and the provisions of Title 19 of the
Carlsbad Municipal Code. The attached Resolution further finds
the proposed Carlsbad Boulevard Seawall to be in conformance with
the City's General Plan.
A Staff Report dated November 1, 1985 is attached hereto and
included by reference. This report briefly outlines the contents
of the EIR.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No direct fiscal impact of approval of the attached Resolution.
Design services are covered by Resolution No.�3ty,s— . A
Construction Management Services Consultant AgreemenT -an the
advertising and award of a construction contract for the proposed
project will include the commitment of City funds, but will be
covered by separate, future Agenda Bills/Resoluti.on5.
