TITLE:
1985-86 STREET OVERLAY PROGRAM
Adopt Resolution No. -approving Change Order No. 1 adding
349,665 square feet of 2' overlay with 264,698 square feet of Petro Mat in four areas in the City for $143,974.52.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On March 25, 1986, the City Council approved the bids and awarded
the contract to South Coast Asphalt Products Company, dba. Sully
Miller Construction, for the 1985-86 Street Overlay Program for
$959,275.84. At that time, expenditures to the street repair account had not been fully determined and it was not feasible to
determine the amount of additional work that could be accomplished.
Available funds indicate that the additional and needed overlay
can be done.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds to do the additional work are contained in the Street Repairs
Account Number 001-820-5110-2410.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1
TO CONTRACT FOR THE 1985-86 STREET OVERLAY PROGRAM,
CONTRACT NO. U/M-9

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, has previously approved the contract for the
1985-86 Street Overlay Program; and,
WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds in the street repair
account to do additional work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. The change order in the amount of $ 143,974.52 is approved.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
City Council held on the 1st day of April , 1986 by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES : Council Members Casler, Lewis, Kulchin, Chick and Pettine
