RECOMMENDED ACTION:
TITLE: ESTABLISHMENT OF FEE FOR SATELLITE DEPT. HD.
CITY AlTY ANTENNAE PERMIT.
ADOPT Resolution No. fyF 2. establishing a fee for a satellite antennae permit.
ITEM EXPLANATION
At its meeting of December 17, 1985, Council adopted Agenda Bill
#8444 and introduced Ordinance 9785 to amend the Municipal Code to permit and to regulate satellite antennae. The ordinance was adopted at the regular Council meeting of January 7, 1986.
It is necessary to establish a permit fee. Staff has reviewed the process and is recommending a fee of $25.00. This is predicated on staff involvement in issuing the permit, a site visit and the Finance Department function of receiving the money and crediting it to the account. In arriving at this recommendation, staff took
into consideration the fees for other types of applications and felt the $25.00 amount to be suitable.

A Negative Declaration was previously prepared and approved for the satellite antennae program.
FISCAL IMPACT
All cost involved with staff time in administering the program will
be recovered by a fee collected for each sign.

RESOLUTION NO. 8482
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SATELLITE ANTENNAE PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING FEES FOR THE
California, has approved a satellite antennae program which would
permit and regulate the location of satellite antennae in the
City; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that it is necessary to
establish a permit fee for satellite antennae placement in the
City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad, California, that the following fees are
established for the satellite antennae program:
1. A fee of $25.00 shall be assessed for each permit.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, on the 8th
day of April , 1986 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Casler, Lewis, Kulchin, Chick and Pettine
