RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. PA-37 authorizing the City Clerk to
advertise for bids for miscellaneous painting of City facilities.
MISCELLANEOUS CITY PAINTING PROJECT
NO. 3900-3 P&R
ITEM EXPLANATION
Painting is needed at four City buildings: Fire Station #2, Swim
Complex, Library and City Hall. Fire Station #2 needs to have the
interior completely ,painted; each of the other facilities have
limited specific areas to be painted.
Engineering Department has prepared the contract and bid specifica
tions; pages 33-34 of the contract show the specific areas include
in each City facility.
FISCAL IMPACT
Budgeted funds are available in Building Maintenance account
"Miscellaneous Outside Services", Account Number 001-820-5320-
2490, in the amount of $6,000. The cost estimate is $5,410.

2. Painting contract and-specifications are on file in the Engineering Department.

RESOLUTION NO. 8537
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECI-
FICATIONS, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO
CITY FACILITIES - PROJECT NO. 3900-3
ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR PAINTING MISCELLANEOUS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, has determined it is necessary and in the public
interest to paint the Fire Station #2 interior and certain arc
in the Library, City Hall and Swim Complex: and
WHEREAS, plans and specifications for the furnishing of
all labor, material, tools, equipment, transportation, and otl
expenses necessary or incidental for said Project No. 3900-3
have been prepared and are on file in the Engineering Departmc
of the City of Carlsbad and are incorporated by reference hera
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of tht
City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. Plans and specifications as presented are hereby
approved.
I 3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby
authorized and directed to proceed to publish, in accordance 1
law, notice to Contractors inviting bids for the painting of
City Hall and Council Chambers in accordance with the plans a
specifications hereinabove referred to.
