Ht~ 1\~ ) CITY ATTY>-l F8 CITY MGR.~ RECOMMENDED ACTION: Authorize staff to prepare and send a letter in support of AB 2961. ITEM EXPLANA·rION: AB 2961, introduced by Assembly Members Frazee and Stirling, will provide certain immunities for injuries caused by a natural condition or unimproved public property. The bill specifically adds ponds to the definition of natural ~ondition or unimproved public property. The bill further states that liability shall not attach unless the public entity or employee acted with gross negligence. The proposed bill is attached as Exhibit 1, and a letter received from Assemblyman Frazee advising the Council of his support for SB 1694 and requesting the City's support for AB 2961 is attached as Exhibit 2.
