RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Staff recanmends Council adopt Resolution No. F,~ O , awarding a bid for a
Seven Garg Mower.
ITEM:EXPLANATION
ifhe 1985-86 Budget includes $18,000 for the purchase of a mower unit for the
Par~s Department. The Seven Ga~•Mower is fifteen feet wide aro will be used
for mowing existing parks arrl ballfields. It will also be used at Stc:gecoach
and Cal.avera Parks when they are canpleted.
In accordance with Section 3.28.120 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code, Notice to
Bidders was published and Request for Bids was sent to seven vendors. Five
responses were received, opened, wintessed and recorded on April 24, 1986. The
lowest responsive bid was submitted by Stewarts Turf Equipment, 9243 Single Oak
'Drive, Lakeside, CA 92040, in the amount of $15,564.67.
FISCAL IMPACT
The cost of the mower ls well within the budgeted anount and there are
unencumbered flllds in the amount ,of $40,497 available in Account No. 001-4121-
3900.

CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPT!!'{; A BID AND
AUTHOOIZHC THE EXECUTION OF A PlRQ-IASE ORDER
FOR THE PURCHASE OF A SEVEN GANG LAWN MOWER
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as
follows:
1. That the bid of Stewarts Turf Equipment, 9243 Single Oak Drive,
Lakeside, CA 92040, is hereby accepted and the Purchasing Officer is hereby
authorized to execute a Purchase Order for the purchase of a Seven Garg Lawn
Mower in the amount of $14,683.65 plus tax, for a total of $15,564.67.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTID at a regular meeting of the Ci~ Council on th
