H ClnAm CITY MGR.% As a result of the resignation of our current City Engineer, effective May 22, 1986, there is a need to commence the recruitment process for a replacement. In light of this need, staff solicited proposals from three professional recruitment firms: Hughes Heiss & Associates, Korn/Ferry International and Ralph Andersen & Assoc- iates, to assess the possibility of utilizing one of these firms for this recruitment. The decision to seek out the assistance of a professional rec- ruitment firm, as opposed to using our Personnel Department, was made based upon the added benefit and expertise gained in doing so. Staff is recommending that we use the services of Hughes Heiss & Associates because of their ability to aggressively approach a greater pool of qualified candidates.
