ITEM EXPLANATION: Engineering staff has completed checking the final map of Carlsbad Tra 81-19, Units 1 and 2, an 83-unit (50 single family detached/23 con units) residential project located at the northwest corner of Chestn Avenue and El Camino Real for conformance with the Subdivision Map Act a the Carlsbad Municipal Code. The final map conforms substantially with t Conditions of Approval and the tentative map as approved by City Council May 18, 1982, per Council Resolution No. 6876 and as extended per Counc Resolution No. 8071 dated June 11 , 1985. To accomodate the developer, separate maps for Unit 1 and Unit 2 are bei brought forward for Council acceptance at the same time. This project will extend existing Jannis Way several hundred feet to t east. To complete the right-of-way acquisition, the City must accept one-foot blocker strip originally dedicated and rejected on Map No. 582 The City must also reserve a portion of the Ellery Reservoir propert which the City owns in fee, for public road and utility purposes for Jann Way. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RESERVING A PORTION OF THE CITY OWNED ELLERY RESERVOIR PROPERTY FOR PUBLIC ROAD AND UTILITY PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, has requir developer of Carlsbad Tract No. 81-19, Unit No. 1, to obtain the dedi and make certain improvements for the road known as 3annis Way; and WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad is the fee title owner of the pr underlying a portion of the proposed road to be dedicated; and WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad is not in a position to dedicate prl to itself; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the C Carlsbad, California, as follows: 1.
