RECOMMENDED ACTION:
That the City Council by motion authorize a closed session
pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9 (b) (1) to discuss a situation constituting significant exposure to litigation
against the City.
ITEM EXPLANATION
The City Council, at your meeting of March 12, 1986, held a
closed session pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(b)(2) to decide whether or not on advice of the City Attorney based
on existing facts and circumstances there was a significant
exposure to litigation against the City. At that time the
Council determined on my advice that a closed session was
authorized and a discussion was held concerning the situation.
Additional discussion in that regard is not required.
