RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the refund of the foliowing fees:
Torrey Pines Bank $8,910.81
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The following fees have been collected by the City and should be
refunded to the appropriate parties:

FISCAL IMPACT:
AMOUNT
$8,910.81
REASON
Torrey Pines Bank has overpaid
the City for interest earned on
investments maturing August 18,
1986. The City should return
this excess payment to Torrey
Pines Bank as soon as possible,
Any refund of fees reduces the amount of revenue available to the
city: however, the city may not retain fees collected in error,
collected for services ~hich cannot be rendered, or collected with
the intention of using said fe~s for a deposit to guarantee the
completion of a task once the ~ask is completed.
