CITY 9/23/86 TANCE OF AN EASEMENT FOR A SEWER LINE DEPT.U/M RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Resolution No. m7 authorizing the Mayor and City C1 execute a quit claim for a sewer easement and to accept a de a sewer easement as an alternate alignment. ITEM EXPLANATION: The City Council accepted an easement for a sewer line from ' Parking Authority at its meeting of February 18, 1986. This ment was for the relocation of an existing sewer line in El ( Real to an alignment that traverses the May Stores parking 1( This is a part of the larger project to up-grade the Vista-Ci trunk system. Subsequently, the contractor requested and wa: approval to tunnel from the parking lot to El Camino Real in: of trenching as originally planned. The tunneling will follc different alignment than the trench and thus requires a new ( ing Authority. This action requests Council to execute the ; priate documents after action by the Parking Authority. May has participated in meetings and fully supports the realignml rnent. The previous easement can be quit claimed back to the FISCAL IMPACT: Minor costs for staff time to process the documents, however, venience to shoppers entering and leaving the mall has been 2 decreased.
