RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. pf+qq , transferring $15,000 to provide for the conversion and review of the Carlsbad Municipal Code.
ITEM EXPLANATION
The last codification and legal analysis of our Municipal Code was canpleted in
1971. Since that codification, our code has grown to 1,354 pages, fills 2
binders, and weighs a total of 19 pounds, 2 ounces. Additions to our code will
soon take it to 3 binders.
We have depleted our supply of Municipal Codes.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CANSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE
TRANSFER OF FUNDS FOR CONVERSION AND
REVIEW OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE
WHEREAS, the last legal analysis and recodification of the Carlsbad
Municipal Code occurred in 1971; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to have a code review ad conversion of the
Carlsbad Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, fmds in the amount of $15,000 are required for a code review and
code conversion.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the abuve recitations are true and correct.
2. That the transfer of $15,000 frcm the General Fund contingency account
to the City Clerk's operating budget account number 001-840-1030-2479 is hereby
appr wed.
PASSED , APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad ,
California, at a regular meeting held on the 7th day of October 9
1986, by the following vote, to wit:
