Direct the Adopt Resolution No. S'tf^^ authorizing the transfer of funds and authorizing the Director of Finance to close the project upon final settlement of all claims and costs. ITEM EXPLANATION; Construction of James Drive improvements, which were through an Assessment District and the 1913 Act, satisfactorily completed. The final construction $336,576.87 includes two (2) change orders for $4,901.41 administratively in accordance with Administrative Order FISCAL IMPACT: financed has been costs of (handled No. 7). Bonds in the amount of $505,738.67 were sold to finance the Assessment District and are available in Account No. 300-820- 1840-3135. The cost of the drainage facilities in the amount of $34,957.80 will be transferred from the local drainge Area 4 to the Assessment District account. Since there are currently no funds in this drainage account, appropriation of $34,957.80 is required. A funds transfer in the amount of $34,957.80 is requested from the unappropriated balance of the General Capital Construction fund to the project account No. 300-820-1840-3151. A summary of the Assessment District cost breakdown is as follows: 1. Construction Costs 2. Design Engineering 3. Acquisition of Land 4. Utilitiy Fees 5. Construction Administration Total $336,576.87 70,000.00 32,492.00 14,199.00 23,020.00 $476,287.87 The remaining balance may be credited to the property owners in the Assessment District after all of the claims are cleared. Executed on )&t&4j^ . f, /?/£ at Carlsbad, California.I CITY OF CARLSBAD City Clerk RESOLUTION NO. 8828 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE 3 TRANSFER OF FUNDS FOR THE JAMES DRIVE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT, PROJECT NO. 3135 4 5 WHEREAS, the James Drive Assessment District, Project No. 6 3135 is considered complete; and 7 WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has agreed to reimburse the 8 James Drive Assessment District the construction costs of the 9 drainage facilities; and 10 WHEREAS, the construction costs of the said drainage 11 facilities is $34,957.80; 12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the 13 City of Carlsbad, California, as follows: 14 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 15 2. That the transfer of $34,957.80 from the 16 unappropriated balance of the General Capital Construction fund 17 to the project account No. 300-820-1840-3151 is hereby 18 authorized and approved. 19 3. That the James Drive Assessment District, Project No. 20 3135, is considered complete and hereby accepted. 21 4.
