Introduce Ordinance No. 32 0 7 amending the City Municipal Code to
designate "NO PARKING" on the easterly side of Palisades Drive from
Tamarack Avenue to a point sixty feet north of the most northerly
intersection of Driftwood Circle.
ITEM EXPLANATION
This item was discussed at the October 6, 1986 Traffic Safety Commission
meeting. The "NO PARKING" on one side was requested by the Carlsbad
Palisades Homeowners Association. For safety reasons and to improve sight
distance, it was a unanimous recommendation of the Commission to establish
a "NO PARKING" zone on the easterly side of Palisades Drive, from Tamarack
Avenue to a point sixty feet north of the most northerly intersection of
Driftwood Circle.
FISCAL IMPACT
Four "NO PARKING" signs will cost $336.00.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 10.40 OF THE CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL COOE BY THE ADDITION OF SECTION 10.40.060
TO DECLARE A "NO PARKING" ZONE ON THE EASTERLY SIDE
OF PALISADES DRIVE FROM TAMARACK AVENUE TO A POINT
SIXTY FEET NORTH OF THE MOST NORTHERLY INTERSECTION
OF DRIFTWOOD CIRCLE.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California hereby ordains as
f 0 1 lows :
SECTION 1: That Title 10, Chapter 10.40 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code
is amended by the addition of Section 10.40.060 to read as follows:
"10.40.060 Parking Restricted on Palisades Drive. There will be no
parking on the easterly side of Palisades Drive from Tamarack Avenue to a
point sixty feet north of the most northerly intersection of Driftwood
C i r c le. ''
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty days after its
adoption and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance
and cause it to be published once in the Carlsbad Journal within fifteen days
of its adoption.
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of the City Council held
the c__ 2nd day of December , 1986, and thereafter,
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council held the
- 9th day Of December , 1986, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Pettine and Mamaux
NOES: None
