RECOMMENDED AC'TION:
Adopt Resolution No. f"rF' awarding the bid for Personal Computers.
ITEM EXPLANATION
The 1986-87 Budget includes funds for Personal Computers for various departments.
The Computer Committee :has reviewed the requests from the Street, Planning and
Mechanical Maintenance Departments and authorized the specifications for the in-
dividual departments per Administration Order Number 34 approved February 3, 1986.
In accordance with Section 3.2.8.120 of the Municipal Code, Notice to Bidders
wa.s published and Request for Bids was made to nine vendors. Three responses
were received, opened, witnessed and recorded on November 7, 1986.
The lowest resoonsive bid was received from Comouteriand, 2502 El Camino Real,
Carlsbad, CA 92008, in the amount of $12,792.08 including tax.
FISCAL IMPACT
Unencumbered funds are available in the following amounts:
$7,080.76 in Account Number 001-840-3230-3900 for a Personal Computer costing
$3,506.48.
$36,184.50 in Account Number 001-840-3230-3900 for a Personal Computer costing
$3,750.28.
$5,600.00 in Account Number 620-840~5210-3900. for a Personal Computer
costing $5,535.32.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING BIDS
AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A PURCHASE ORDER
FOR THE PURCHASE OF PERSONAL COMPUTERS
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California,
as follows:
1. That the bid of Computerland, 2502 El Camino Real, Carlsbad, CA 92008,
is hereby accepted and the Purchasing Officer is hereby authorized to execute
a Purchase Order for the purchase of Personal Computers.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad
at a regular meeting held on the 2nd day of December , 1986,
