CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEM
OF THE GENERAL PLAN TO BRING THE DESIGNATIONS ON
GENERAL PLAN MAP, ZONING MAP, AND LOCAL COASTAL
MAP IN CONFORMANCE ON PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD.
APPLICANT: CITY OF CARLSBAD
CASE NO: GPA/LU 86-8
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on July 30,
August 13, 1986, and August 27, 1986 hold duly noticed pu
hearings as prescribed by law to consider amendments to t
Use Element of the General Plan GPA/LU 86-8; and
WHEREAS, THE RECOMMENDED General Plan Amendments
the Co-astal Zone to bring General Plan designations into
conformance with the Carlsbad Local Coastal Plan are exerr
environmental review per Section 15265(a)(1), Title 14 of
California Administrative Code: and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has determined
this project outside of the Coastal Zone will not have a

1) The proposed General Plan Amendments will bring the
designations on the General Plan Map, Zoning Map and Lot
Coastal Plan Map into conformancy as required by State
2) The recommended General Plan designations are approprial the properties involved because the General Plan Amendmc will allow for development on the.sites that will be compatible with surrounding development for the reasons
in the staff report.

- " ..WEREAS, the Planning Commission did on the 13
day of August, 1986, hold a duly noticed public hearing
prescribed by law to consider the Local Coastal Plan Am1
shown on Exhibit "MM" dated August 5, 1986; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearings, upon hearing
considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all
desiring to be heard, said Commission considered all fa(

"Eli", dated July 14, 1986, and ixhibits "N", "N-1" dated August 5, 1986, attached hereto and made a pg based on the following findings:

staff report.
2) The proposed changes to the designations on the LOC Plan will allow the subject properties to develop i accordance with their existing General Plan designa
detailed in the attached staff report.
