HD.% MTG.1/13/87 APPOINTMENT OF TASK FORCE TO CONSIDER CITY ATTYVH DEPT.CM IMMIGRATION PROBLEMS IN CARLSBAD CITY MGR. - RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Resolution No. my/ establishing task force and appointing members thereto. ITEM EXPLANATION: At its January 6, 1987 meeting, the City Council nominated seven members of the community to serve on a task force to consider immigration problems in Carlsbad. The purpose of the task force is to consider all impacts of the immigration problem in the City of Carlsbad and to prepare a report to be filed with the City Council by April 1, 1987. The attached Resolution establishes the duties of the task force, appoints members thereto and calls for the dissolution of the task force following its report to the Council. The seventh member of the task force is to named by the School District. The Carlsbad Unified School District Board of Trustees will meet on January 14 to appoint a nominee for the task force. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA AS FOLLOWS: 1. The above recitations are true and correct. 2. That an immigration task force to study the impact of he immigration problems on the City of Carlsbad is hereby stablished. 3.
