TITLE: DEPT. HD. 6& NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF THE FARADAY AVENUE
AND EL CAMINO REAL TRAFFIC SIGNAL

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Accept the construction of the Faraday Avenue and El Camino Real
traffic signal, Project No. 3225, as complete. Direct the City
Clerk to have the Notice of Completion recorded. Authorize the
Director of Finance to reimburse the Koll Company fifty percent
(50%) of any unexpended project funds and close the project upon
payment of all final project costs and claims.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Construction of the Faraday Avenue and El Camino Real traffic
signal has been satisfactorily completed. The final contract
amount was $67,000 with no change orders.
FISCAL IMPACT:
As a condition of approval for Carlsbad Tract No. 84-10, the Koll
Company has deposited funds in the amount of $40,000 towards one-
half of the costs of the installation of this signal.
Additionally, City funds in the amount of $40,000 are budgeted in
Account No. 330-840-1840-3225 for the remaining fifty percent
(50%) of the City's share of the cost of this project. The
