RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve by minute motion;
1. The City Council hereby appoints Mayor Lewis and Council Member
Mamaux and primary members on the Encina Joint Advisory Committee
and,
2. Designates the City Engineer and City Manager as alternate members
of the Advisory Committee.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The Encina Joint Powers Agreement provides that Carlsbad will have
two representatives on the joint advisory committee, and an alternate
for each such representative. At its December 2, 1986 meeting the
City Council appointed Council Member Mamaux as a primary representative
and Mayor Lewis as an alternate.
This agenda bill would clarify the appointments to provide that Mayor
Lewis and Council Member Mamaux would be appointed as primary members
to the JAC. The City Manager and the City Engineer would be appointed
as alternate members.
Fiscal Impact: There is no direct or additional fiscal impact to
the city as a result of this action.
