RECOMMENDl;D ACTION:
Staff recommends Council adopt Resolution No . .2J.tJ:::: awarding
a bid £or a Dump Truck.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The 1986-87 Budget includes funds in the Sanitation Department
Capital Outlay Account for the purchase of a dump truck.
The trµck will be used to haul spoils from the job sites
and haul backfill to job sites conforming with new laws
on backfill requirements.
In accordance with Section 3.28.120 of the Municipal Code,
Notice to Bidders was published and Requests for Bids was
made to thirty vendors. Eleven responses were received,
opened, witnessed and recorded on February 11, 1987.
The lowest responsive bid that ~~t the specifications
was submitted by DeAnza Chevrolet, 8200 Atito Drive, Riverside,
CA 92504 in the amount of $33,283.50 plus tax, for a total
of $35,280.51.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The total cost of the dump truck is $35,280.51. Unencumbe.red·
funds in the amount of $38,136. are available in Account
No. 511-820-6110-3900 for the purchase of a dump truck.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING
A BID AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF
A PURCHASE ORDER FOR THE PURCHASE OF A
DUMP TRUCK.
Be It Resolved by the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad, California as follows:
1. That the bid of DeAnza Chevrolet, 8200 Auto
Drive, Riverside, CA 92504, is hereby accepted and
the Purchasing Officer is hereby authorized to execute
a Purchase Order for the purchase of a Dump Truck in
the amount of $33,283.50 plus tax for a total of
$35,280.51.
Passed, Approved and Adopted by the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad, California, at a regular meet-
ing held on the 17th Day of March , 1987, by
the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Pettine, Mamaux and Larson
