PURCHASE OF TWO TRIPLEX REEL MOWERS
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Staff recommends Council adopt Resolution No. 'Joe,'(
awarding a bid for two triplex reel mowers.

The 1986-87 Budget includes funds in the Parks Department
Capital Outlay Account for the purchase of two triplex reel
mowers. One mower will ·~e used as a replacement mower while
the second mower will ·be utilized at the new Stagecoach Park
facility.
In accordance with Section 3.28.120 of the Municipal Code,
Notice to Bidders was published and Request for Bids was
ma~e of four vendors. Four responses were received, opeheg,
witnessed and recorded on March 11, 1987.
The lowest bid was submitted bv B. Hayman Co., Inc., 9525
Sorenson Avenue, Sant~ Fe Springs, CA 90670, in the amount
of $18,244.00 plus tax for a total of $19,338.64.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The total cost of two triplex reel mowers is $19,338.64.
Unencumbered funds in the amount of $38,841. 8 9 are available
in Account No. 001-820-4121-3900 for the purchase of the
two triplex reel mowers.

Be It Resolved by the City Council of the City 6f
7 Carlsbad, California as follows:
8 1. That the bid of B. Hayman Co., Inc., 9525 Sorenson
9 Avenue, Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670, is hereby accepted and
10 the Purchasing Officer is hereby authorized to execute a
11 Purchase Order for two triplex reel mowers in the amount
