RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Staff recommends the Council adopt Resolution No. 1ozr ,
awarding the bid for purchase of tables and chairs for Stagecoach
Park Community Center.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The 1986-87 Budget includes funds in the Recreation Department
Supply and Capital Outlay Account for the purchase of tables
and chairs for Stagecoach Park Community Cente~.
In accordance with Section 3.28.120 of the Municipal Code,
Notice to Bidders was published and Request For Bids was
made to ten vendors. Eight responses were received, opened,
witnessed and recorded on May 6, 1987.
The lowest responsive bid for Item 1,2,3,4, and 5, was submitted
by Fischer Discount Office Furniture, 9280 Clairemont Mesa
Blvd., San Diego, CA 92123 in the amount of $13,274.66 plus
tax, for a total of $14,071.14.
The lowest responsive bid for Item 6, was submitted by Sico
Inc., 7525 Cahill Road, Minneapolis, MN 55440, in the amount
of $3,048.20 plus tax, for a total of $3,321.09.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The total cost of the tables and chairs is $17,302.23. Un-
encumbered funds in the amount of $58,078.78 are available
in Account Number 001-820-4131-3900, and in Account Number
001-820-4131-2660 for the purchase of tables and chairs.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING
A BID AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A PUR-
CHASE ORDER FOR TABLES AND CHAIRS
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the bid of Fischer Discount Office Furniture,
9280 Clairemont Mesa Blvd., San Diego, CA 92123, for Items
1,2,3,4, and 5, is hereby accepted and the Purchasing Officer
is hereby authorized to execute a Purchase Order in the amount
of $14,071.14.
2. That the bid of Sica, Inc., 7525 Cahill Road,
Minneapolis, MN 55440, for Item 6, is hereby accepted and
the Purchasing Officer is hereby authorized to execute a
Purchase Order in the amount of $3,231.09.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad, California, at a regular meeting
