RECOMMENDED ACTION:
City Council adopt Resolution No. 90 9Y accepting donatic to the Parks and Recreation Department from Southwest Bank,
Dominoes Pizza, Capital Bank of Carlsbad and Economy Inns of AI
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Donations have been received from the following businesses in t
amounts listed below. Funds will be applied to the following
programs.
1. Southwest Bank $2 , 850 Triathlon
2. Dominoes Pizza $ 400 Body Surfing Contest
Youth Tennis Camp
3. Capital Bank and Economy Inns $1,250 Daytripper Membership Club
4. Capital Bank and Economy Inns $ 600 Youth Tennis Camp
Total $5,100
A letter of appreciation will be sent on behalf of the City of
Carlsbad.
FISCAL IMPACT:
A trust account will be established by the Finance Department fi
the expenditure of funds to the appropriate programs.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING DONATIONS
FROM SOUTHWEST BANK, DOMINOES PIZZA AND
CAPITAL BANK AND ECONOMY INNS OF AMERICA
WHEREAS, Southwest Bank has donated two thousand
eight hundred and fifty dollars for the 1987 Carlsbad
Triathlon, and
WHEREAS, Dominoes Pizza has donated four hundred
dollars, $200 for the Body Surfing and $200 for the Youth
Tennis Camp Programs, and
WHEREAS, Capital Bank and Economy Inns of America has
donated one thousand two hundred and fifty dollars for the
Daytrippers Membership Club, and
WHEREAS, Capital Bank and Economy Inns of America has
donated six hundred dollars for the Youth Tennis Program, E
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept these gifl
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council oJ
the City of Carlsbad the following:
1. That the City Council accepts the aforementioned
donations totalling five thousand one hundred dollars ($5,:
on behalf of the citizens of the City of Carlsbad.

the City Council of the City of Carlsbad held on the 7n
