ORDINANCE NO. 1295
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA AMENDING TITLE 2 , CHAPTER
2.08 OF THE CARLSRAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE
ADDITION OF SECTION 2.08.100 TO AUTHORIZE THE
CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT DONATIONS IN AN AMOUNT
UP TO $500.00.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California
does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: That Title 2, Chapter 2.08 of the
Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended by the addition of Sectior
2.08.100 to read as follows:
"2.08.100. Delegation of Authority to Accept Donat.
The City Manager shall have authority on behalf of the City (
Carlsbad to accept donations to the City in an amount or of l
value of up to $500.00. The City Manager shall use the gift
may sell it and use the proceeds in accordance with the donoi intent. If there is no such intent the money shall be added
the City's contingency account."
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective
thirty days after its adoption, and the City Clerk shall cer
to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be publish
least once in the Carlsbad Journal within fifteen days after
