ITEM EXPLANATION: State law requires that the City Treasurer report to the City Council on a monthly basis the status of the City's investment portfolio. This report is presented to Council each month reporting on investments held on the first day of the month. In summary, the City's investment portfolio as of June , 1, 193, is as follows: Principal Amount CERTIFICATES OF DEPOSIT 26,700,000 FEDERAL GOV'T NOTES OR BONDS 3,285,873 FEDERAL AGENCY NOTES OR BOND$ 12,079,232 CORPORATE NOTES 1,494,480 LOCAL AGENCY INVESTMENT FUNDS 12,032,000 OTHER INVESTMENTS 1,607 , 744 TOTAL PORTFOLIO $57,199,329 These investments have been made in accordance Average Interest Rate 7.21 7.77 8.17 7.82 7.17 6.29 Average Term 367 856 2,266 1,108 -- -- 7.43 -- with the City's investment policy adopted January 2, 1985, and revised May 5, 1987 FISCAL IMPACT: When held to maturity, the above investments will yield $ 10,015,046 in interest revenue.
