RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. y/r& accepting a donation from Tournament of Charr Charities, and directing appropriate letter of thanks.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
A $1,000 contribution has been received as an expression of appreciation f services provided to the community from the Tournament of Champions Charit
Some years ago the La Costa Hotel and Spa established a charitable foundat based on the Tournament of Champions golf classic referred to as the "Mony Tournament of Champions. This past year they donated to 27 different char organizations, including $1,000 to the City's paramedic trust fund.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The contribution has been deposited in the paramedic trust fund, and will used to purchase equipment used by the paramedics.

RESOLUTION NO. 9152
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A GIFT OF MONEY FOR THE PARAMEDIC
TRUST FUND I
WHEREAS, the Tournament of Champions Charities wishes to make a
contribution of $1,000 to the paramedic trust fund; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept this gift pursuant to
Sections 37354 and 37355 of the California Government Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City 1 of Carlsbad as follows: I 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
