1986-87 CURBS, GUTTERS AND SIDEWALKS
REPLACEMENT PROGRAM
Adopt Resolution No. 9/75
the amount of $57,218.50 to Schaefer Construction of Encinitas for the replace-
ment of various curbs, gutters and sidewalks in the City.

ITEM EXPLANATION:
On June 16, 1987, the City Council approved plans and specifications and
authorized the City Clerk to advertise for bids for the 1986-87 Curbs, Gutters
and Sidewalks Replacement Program.
Four sealed bids were received, opened, witnessed, and recorded on July 13,
1987. The bids were reviewed by the Staffs of the Purchasing and Utilities
and Maintenance Departments. Schaefer Construction was the lowest responsive
bidder in the amount of $57,218.50.

RESOLUTION NO. 9173
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE BIDS AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF CONTRACT NO. U/M-14 FOR THE 1986-87 CURBS, GUTTERS AND
SIDEWALKS REPLACEMENT PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, bids have been received by the City of Carlsbad, California,
for the 1986-87 Curbs, Gutters and Sidewalks Replacement Program; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive bid received for the project was
submitted by Schaefer Construction of Encinitas, California, in the amount
of $57,218.50; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in account number 001-820-5110-2411
for this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. The bid of $57,218.50 by Schaefer Construction of Encinitas,
California, for the 1986-87 Curbs, Gutters and Sidewalks Replacement Program,
Contract No. U/M-14, is hereby accepted and the Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized to execute a contract therefor.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of

of July , 1987, by the following vote, to wit:
