RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Accept the installation of the telephone system by AS1 Telesystems, complete. Direct the City Clerk to record the Notice of Completion an bonds appropriately.
Adopt Resolution No. )9J 06, authorizing the transfer of funds and ai the Finance Director to close the project upon final settlement of all c costs.
Accept the Contract of the Consultant, Communications Resources Company, a: and authorize final payment.
ITEM EXPLANATION
On April 23, 1985, Council accepted and awarded a contract to AS1 Telesyst for installation of a telephone system. Immediately thereafter, it bec that the Building, Engineering and Planning Departments were embarking up to another facility. Additionally, the Police Department and Fire Admin were moving to the new Safety Center site. Therefore, the decision wa: phase the installation of the telephone system to coordinate it with the the various departments.
FISCAL IMPACT
Total installation cost for the Las Palmas Facility was $74,500. That inc installation of one hundred instruments. This installation included 4 Utility/Maintenance Administration located in the same facility.
Total installation cost for the Safety Center was $115,000. That inc installation of one hundred thirty three instruments. This installation costs for all four Fire Stations, the Vehicle Maintenance Facility, and the currently being located at the Safety Center site.
Total cost for the installation of the City Hall Facility was $162,OG installation included one hundred fifty seven instruments and three call a machines. The City Hall installation included &lJ of the remaining facilities such as the Library, Housing and Redevelopment, and Parks and R Administration and facilities.
Pacific Bell costs for installation of lines and trunks was $19,500.
The total installation costs exceeded the projected costs of install $71,000. Final installation costs, including related Pacific Bell c $371,000.

A fund transfer in the amount of $71,000 is required from the unappropriate of the General Capital Construction Fund to the Project Account No. 300- 3002.

was completed.
