TITLE: DEPT. HD. NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR THE
TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT ELM AND MONROE
AND ALGA AND CORINTIA
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 92L// accepting the construction of the traffic signal systems at Elm Avenue and Monroe Street, Project No. 3257, and Alga Road and Corintia Street, Project No. 3259, as complete, directing the City Clerk to file the Notice of Completion, appropriating additional project funds, and authorizing the Director of Finance to close the project accounts upon payment of all final claims and costs.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Construction and associated signing and striping of the traffic signal systems at Elm Avenue and Monroe Street and Alga Road and Corintia Street have been satisfactorily completed. Both signal systems were activated on September 3, 1987.

RESOLUTION NO. 9241
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEMS AT ELM AVENUE AND MONROE STREET, AND ALGA ROAD AND CORINTIA STREET
AS COMPLETE, DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO FILE THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the traffic signal systems at the intersections of
Elm Avenue and Monroe Street, Project No. 3257, and Alga Road
and Corintia Street, Project No. 3259, have been satisfacorily
completed; and
WHEREAS, the project budget for the traffic signal system
at Alga Road and Corintia Street requires an additional $1,000
in funding;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the construction of the traffic signal systems at
Elm Avenue and Monroe Street and Alga Road and Corintia Street
are deemed complete and hereby accepted.
3. That the City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad,
California, is directed to file the Notice of Completion for
said project .
' 4. That the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, hereby appropriates additional funds in the amount
of $1,000 from the unappropriated balance of the General Capital
Construction Fund to the project account No. 300-820-1840-3259
for this proj ect .
5. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to

costs.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Carlsbad City Council held on the 22nd day of September ,
1987 by the following vote, to wit:

MUNICIPAL PROJECTS DEPARTMENT
To All Laborers and Material Men and to Every Other Person Interested:
YOU WILL PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on September 11, 1987
the engineering project consisting of the construction of
traffic siqnal systems at the intersections of Elm Avenue
and Monroe Street and Alaa Road and Corintia Street on
which McCain Construction Company. Incorporated
was the contractor and Fidelity and Deposit Company of
Maryland was the surety, was completed.
