RECOMMENDED ACTION:
TRAVEL FOR ARTS MANAGER
Adopt Resolution No. yJJ/ approving out-of-state travel expense for the Arts Manager.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
"Towards a New Era in Arts Education" is an invitational
symposium held in Interlochen, Michigan, November 5-8.
The Cultural Arts program manager has been invited to participate in the symposium. All expenses except travel will be covered by the symposium sponsors. Council policy requires that out-of-state travel be approved by the City Council.
Permission to travel out of state is requested.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Travel expenses will not exceed $325, a super-saver fare. Funds in the Arts Program Travel budget will cover costs. All other costs are paid by the American Council for the
Arts.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
STATE TRAVEL FOR THE CULTURAL ARTS MANAGER OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA APPROVING OUT OF
WHEREAS, the Arts Element to the General Plan sta
Arts Education as a major goal, and
WHEREAS, the Arts Manager has been invited as one
in the United States to attend a national invitational symp
on Arts Education, and
WHEREAS, the symposium is held in Interlochen, Mil

WHEREAS, all expenses are paid by the American Coi

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counci
