RECOMMENDED ACTION:
If City Council concurs, your action is to adopt Resolution
No. ?«?76 agreeing to review and certify Coastal permits in
the Redevelopment segment of the LCP (Local Coastal Program)
ITEM EXPLANATION
On October 13, 1987, the Coastal Commission adopted the post
certification map of the Redevelopment Area Segment of the
Local Coastal Program. This is the final action required by
the Costal Commission in granting permit authority to the
City of Carlsbad within that jurisdiction. The City has
taken previous actions amending the Redevelopment Plan and
developing application procedures for Coastal permit issuing
in accordance with the adopted Local Coastal Program.
The City Council's final action in this process is to adopt
Resolution No. ?;?*76 agreeing to review and certify
permits according to the adopted Local Coastal Program and
thereby accepting permit issuing authority.
FISCAL IMPACT
An appropriate fee may be established to cover the
administration of this permit process. No fiscal impact has
been established.

RESOLUTION NO. 9276
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AT ACCEPT PERMIT ISSUING AUTHORITY
2 FOR COASTAL PERMITS IN THE REDEVELOPMENT AREA SEGMENT OF
THE LOCAL COASTAL PROGRAM.
3 WHEREAS, on June 14, 1985, the California Coastal
4 Commission certified the City of Carlsbad Village Area
5
Segment Local Coastal Program Land Use Plan consisting of the
6 City of Carlsbad Village Area Redevelopment Plan and the
7 Village Design Manual; and
8 WHEREAS, on October 13, 1987, the California Coastal
9 Commission adopted the City of Carlsbad Local Coastal Program
10 II post certification maps delegating permit authority to the
City of Carlsbad within that jurisdiction.
12 NOW, THEREFORE , the City Council of the City of
13 Carlsbad resolves as follows:
14 1. That the foregoing is true and correct.
15 2. That the City Council of the City of Carlsbad hereby
U_5 agrees to certify and review permits according to the
adopted regulations and procedures as contained in the
•^17 Village Redevelopment Segment of the Local Coastal
Program (LCP).
18 | PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
19 I City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the
20 3rd day of November, 1987, by the following vote, to wit:
