RECOMMENDED ACTION:
If City Council concurs, your action is to adopt Resolution
No. I22-7-which confirms that the City of Carlsbad, wishes to
participate in the Community Development Block Grant Program
(CDBG) as an entitlement City.

RESOLUTION NO. 9277
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA REQUESTING PARTICIPATION AS AN
ENTITLEMENT CITY FOR FUNDING UNDER THE COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, has considered the participation of the City with
the status of an Entitlement City on a direct basis with the
Federal Government in the Community Development Block Grant
Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and staff have recommended
such participation as being to the advantage of the City; and
WHEREAS, the preponderance of evidence presented has
shown these actions to be.worthy of approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Carlsbad, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council approves the City of Carlsbad
applying as an Entitlement City for funding in the
Community Development Block Grant Program.
3. That the City Council authorizes the City Manager to act
as the Chief Executive Officer in matters pertaining to
the application for participation and funding of this
program.

City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the
3rd day of November, 1987, by the following vote, to wit:
