CITY AllY "NO PARKING" ZONE ON MIDDLETON 3EPT.A 12/08/87 DRIVE AND WOODSTOCK STREET * CITY MOR.- RECOMMENDED ACTION: Introduce Ordinance No. 32 a 3 amending the City Municipal Code to designate "NO PARKING" on the northerly and easterly sides of Middleton Drive from Glasgow Drive to Woodstock Street. Introduce Ordinance No. 3 a4f amending the City Municipal Code to designate "NO PARKING" on the northerly and easterly sides of Woodstock Street from Glasgow Drive to Lancaster Road. ITEM EXPLANATION A request to establish "NO PARKING" on the northerly and easterly sides of Middleton Drive and Woodstock Street was discussed at the Traffic Safety Commission meeting of November 2, 1987. This parking restriction was initiated by Homeowner's Association of the Cape at Cal avera Hi 11 s. Due to the narrow width of each road (32') and the need to improve sight distance at each street intersecting Middleton Drive and Woodstock Street, the Commission unanimously recommended that the parking restriction be created on each side of the streets as indicated . FISCAL IMPACT Twelve (12) "NO PARKING" signs will cost $768.00. EXHIBITS 1. Location Map. 2. The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California hereby ordains as Fol 1 ows : SECTION 1: That Title 10, Chapter 10.40 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended by the addition of Section 10.40.066 to read as follows: "10.40.066 Parking Restricted on Woodstock Street. There will be no parking on the northerly and easterly sides of Woodstock Street from G1 asgow Drive to Lancaster Road. I' EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty days after its adoption and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published once in the Carlsbad Journal within fifteen days of its adoption.
