RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. rf- 9 purposes.
ITEM EXPLAN AT I ON
accepting a Grant Deed for all
Carlsbad Grand General Partnership had applied for a Redevelopme Permit 86-21 to construct an office building at 785 Grand Avenue. As condition of that redevelopment permit an additional two feet of righ of-way is being required for the alley adjacent to that project. T current right-of-way width of that alley is 20 feet which is less th the required width to accommodate the turning movements and addition traffic generated by this project. This alley runs in a north/sou direction from Elm Avenue to Grand Avenue between Madison and Jeffers Street. Carl sbad Grand Partnership, owners of the property, therefa present for Council acceptance a grant deed for the additional requir right-of-way in satisfaction of the redevelopment permit condition.
FISCAL IMPACT
Requiring dedications as a condition of development will save the Ci expenses in the future right-of-way acquisitions.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA. ACCEPTING A GRANT DEED.
WHEREAS, Carlsbad Grand General Partnership have submitted a Gr
conveying an easement to the City of Carlsbad for alley purposes over a
of the east side of the alley between Elm and Grand, Jefferson and Madiso
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has determined
in the public interest to accept said Deed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of C
