City Council adopt Resolution No. J/-/s amending the salary
schedule for part-time employees.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Parks and Recreation, the Library and the Engineering Departments
have requested that Personnel make minor changes to the part-time
salary schedule. The following modifications have been recommended:
1. Change the title of Recreation Specialist to Recreation
Leader 111. The rationale behind this change is there
already is a full-time position for Recreation Specialist
and this situation causes some confusion.
2. Add a position of Engineering Aide to the salary plan at
Range 20. The Engineering Department has a need to hire
part-time staff to assist with the current workload.
3. Modify the title of Library Reference to Reference Librarian.
This change is being requested to clarify the title of the
position.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact associated with these changes. The funding for the part-time staff is included in the Engineering Department's budget.

RESOLUTION NO. 88-15
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING AN ADJUSTMENT TO
THE PART-TIME HOURLY SALARY PLAN FOR THE PART-TIME
EMPLOYEES.
WHEREAS, changes are necessary in the part-time salary
plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the part-time hourly salary schedule set forth in
Exhibit A, attached hereto and made a part thereof, is adopted.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Carlsbad City Council held on the 26th day of January , 1988,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Pettine, Mamaux and Larson
