RECOMMENDED ACTION:
ACCEPT DONATION OF $1,000 FROM DOOLEY MCCLUSKEY,
AUTHORIZE DEPOSIT OF FUNDS INTO RECREATION SPONSORSHIP
(SPECIAL EVENTS) ACCOUNT.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Dooley McCluskey's has recently presented a check for
$1,000 to the Parks and- Recreation Department. This
donation is a result of the proceeds from their 1987
Golf Tournament. They have requested that the Department apply the dcnation wherever it would best be utilized.
Department staff feels this contribution can best be utilized in the Recreation Sponsorships (Special Events
account 3 830-519-32-10-0000. Funding from this accoun'
has previously sponsored the Annual Youth Track and
Field Event, Youth Temis Camp and other similar
programs.
The donation was preseated to and accepted by the Parks and Recreation Commissior, at the January meethg. It was recommecded to be forwarded to the City Council for finall acceptance. A letter of appreciation will be sen on behalf of the City D€ Carlsbad.
