RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. yF-63 , appointing three members to the Board of Directors for the Foundation for Carlsbad Community Cable Television.
ITEM EXPLANATION
The terms of Bob Cole, Julianne Nygaard and Sharon Strong expired in January, 1988. Bob Cole has served on the Board since September, 1985; Julianne Nygaard has served on the Board since August, 1986; and Sharon Strong has served on the Board since the Foundation was created in 1983.
Julianne Nygaard has indicated her desire to be re-appointed to the Board of Directors. Bob Cole and Sharon Strong have not notified the Clerk's Office of their desires concerning re-appointment.
Appointments made at this time will be for two-year terms and will expire on January
31, 1990.
Other members are Bill Dominguez and Robert Sheppard.

RESOLUTION NO. 88-63
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING THREE MEMBERS TO THE FOUNDATION FOR CARLSBAD COMMUNITY CABLE TELEVISION.
WHEREAS, the terms of Bob Cole, Julianne Nygaard and Sharon Strong expired
on January 31, 1988;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the following persons are hereby appointed to serve as members of
the Board of Directors for the Foundation for Carlsbad Community Cablc
Television for terms expiring January 31, 1990:

Fred Morey
Julianne Nygaard

Was adarded a grant from the County of Ssn Diego ($5,000) to produce a 30-minute program on organ donation. information piece on Hosp Grove (funded by the Foundation) and two Christmas music pieces also funded by the Foundation. and finalist in 1986 Hometown Video Awards. Produce weekly television community access program "Take Five." access televisibn on a weekly basis.

On the side for "other activities" I enjoy reading, gardening, swimming and camping. In my spare time I erljoyhiking and training my great dane "Big Mac."
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION OR COMMENTS :
I feel that I could make a major contribution as a member of the Foundation due to the nature of my community involvment. that need the services of the Foundation, but don't know how to apply for funds.
With my constant involvement with community group, I think I could involve a
larger segment of the community with the Foundation. My belief in community access television and a firm committment to promting the medium, enhances my value as a candiate for a member of the Foundation For Carlsbad Community Cable Television.
